The Opportunity: Support day-to-day Health Club operations at the Bairnsdale Aquatic and Recreation Centre (BARC), ensuring a safe, engaging, and professional environment for all patrons. You’ll deliver tailored exercise programs, supervise gym users, maintain equipment and cleanliness standards, and contribute to a welcoming space that encourages participation and wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities
· Deliver tailored fitness assessments and exercise programs to support individual health goals.
· Supervise Health Club patrons to ensure safe and correct use of equipment and exercise techniques.
· Maintain a clean, professional, and welcoming gym environment.
· Provide high-quality customer service and contribute to member retention strategies.
· Actively promote the facility’s programs and assist with recreation activities as required.
What we’re looking for (Key Selection Criteria)
· Possess a high standard of presentation.
· Demonstration of strong customer service focus.
· Prior experience as a Gym Instructor.
· Demonstration of a high level of written and verbal communications skills.
· Commitment to improving and growing the Centre.
Required Qualifications:
· Certificate 3 in Fitness
· Registration with Fitness Australia or Physical Activity Australia
· Current Level 2 First Aid certificate
· Current CPR Certificate
· Employee Working with Children Check
If successful, you will need to undertake a police check. You must also be legally entitled to work in Australia.
